Passover Gifts (finally)

So it's been a while since the last time I wrote a post, but really it wasn't my fault, I swear. First I had to make costumes for Purim, then gifts for Passover, then I had to prepare things for a Passover sale (that was canceled on the last minute, thanks to the weather), then my computer crashed 2 minutes before the holiday and the kids also wanted some attention here and there... A mess!

So for Passover I made some gifts. For my mother in law I made a cookies jar, filled with yummy meringue cookies

My sister in law got a ceramic bowl made of black clay with blue glaze inside

I gave it to her wrapped with a card I made

For my aunt, who is also my ceramic teacher, I (obviously) couldn't give anything made of ceramic, so instead I decided to make a fabric wrapped basket, that I've been wanting to make for a long time. Well, big mistake... The 6 mm rope I bought was way too thick for my sewing machine. Back to the store. The 4 mm was fine, but I got a mess of threads on the wrong side. I bought a needle for jeans, and finally - voila! I had to unstitch it twice, but at the end I managed to finish it.

I also added a jar with meringue cookies. I made a few of these to give to other relatives and friends.

And some felt matryoshka dolls magnets

Last but not least - My grandma. Grandma was supposed to get a ceramic drinking jug, but I didn't finish it on time and had to find a quick alternative. So I bought 2 simple kitchen towels, one green and one orange and upgraded them with some nice, matching fabric and lace, just like grandma likes (tutorial coming soon).

That's it, finally. Now I can breathe again, at least till Rosh Hashana...
