A Shop a Week

Well, it's not really a-shop-a-week any more. More like a-shop-a-month... But, hey, we're still here, so it could have been worse... My life feels like a total chaos in the last month or so (I'm back to part-time work, after a year and a half, I began studying again but still at home with the little one), so I neglected the blog a bit. Hopefully it will get better soon...
Anyhow, Green Queen Eco Design is a fantastic shop. I've been following it for a while now. They sell mostly fabric lampshades. I actually fantasize about making one myself, but meanwhile let's just take a look at these beautiful lampshades.

I love the color palette of this lampshade

And this one is more on the romantic side

I want this for my craft room! And my bedroom. And the living room...
And this one is not a lampshade nor made of fabric, but it's a great idea as a gift for kids that have everything already.

A Shop a Week

A Shop a Week
I have some good new and some bad news.

The bad news are that I decided to stop the weekly Pinterest party for a while. I will still feature my favorite pins once in a while, so please do keep on pinning to the board, but as it's taking a lot of time for me to choose the best ones and feature them every week, I felt it leaves me with almost no time for tutorials, recipes, DIY projects etc. I'm still going to feature a special shop every week, though.

Now to the good news... Have you noticed things here were quiet lately? Well, it's because lots of good things are happening. If you checked out my blog in the last few days, you saw I guest posted on Plucky's Second Thought and Sugar Bee Crafts. Tomorrow I'm at Gonna Be 40 with a Hanukkah post and there are many tutorials and other posts on the way (and this is a great opportunity to remind you that I'm always looking for cooperations, so if you have an idea for something we can do together, please email me!)

Anyway, let's move on to our weekly shop. This time we're visiting Gala Studio, a shop by the very talented Gal Almog. Gal says she tries to bring happiness and optimism into people's homes, and I think she does a great job - her works are colorful, bright and beautiful.

A Shop a Week

I know, I know, it became a habit, I'm posting this Shop a Week a day late almost every week now... So I'll just say (again!) that I'm sorry and then quickly move on to this week's shop...

A Shop a Week

So this week's shop, Sky Rain Soap, belongs to Maria from Ohio, who makes these super cute soaps in many many different fragnances, some are traditional soap fragnances, some are, well, kind of weird (mojito? Popcorn?? Zucchini bread???)...

A Shop a Week

I'm kind of tired of appologizing, but still... I'm posting late (again...). So sorry :) Crazy week and all, you know. I had a sick kiddo for 10 days and I'm also feeling a bit under the weather, so everything is kind of slow here. But, despite the delay, here's 'a shop a week' (and if I don't just collapse and go to sleep, I might even manage to post the weekly Pinterest party features).

The shop I want to introduce today made me say WOW out loud when I first saw it. Because, well, WOW! It took me a moment to realize that the material these items are made of is polymer clay. This is when I had my second WOW. Anyone who's ever worked with polymer clay can only imagine how crazy it is to make these kinds of sculptures. This is what I call art.

So this shop is called Color of Life and the artist Mira Krispil is the one creating these beautiful sculptures.

A Shop a Week

The World of ceramic is a magical world full of surprises. The feeling of clay in your hands is something you just can't put in words. Our weekly store is karoArt, and owner Karo, polish born living in Ireland, has tought herself  this amazing craftsmanship. Her items are so beautiful, I'm just speechless...

A Shop a Week

Crochet is fun. Crochet is addictive. Crochet can take time... Sometimes it can take a lot of time (like the crochet rug I'm working on for the last week or so. Crocheting, unstitching, crocheting, unstitching...). And I don't have much time to spare. So when I find a shop selling beautiful crochet items for reasonable prices, I immediately drop my needle and come to tell you all about it :)

Galit is the owner of Goolgool , a shop specialized in unique crochet items. She creates crochet jewelry, headbands, tiaras, home accessories and my favorite line - gift labels with crochet edging.

A Shop a Week

First, an apology.
In the last few weeks I was here less and less, it's been a while since the last time I published a tutorial and basically, everything is kind of slow. In the beginning it was because of the long summer vacation. Then, it was holidays season here in Israel and then, in the last week or so, I started to work (with the help of my super talented sister) on moving The Crafeteria to Wordpress, instead of Blogger, where it is now. And apparently it takes time to do that. A lot of time. Much more than what I expected... So I'm still here, my mind is working full time and I have so many new ideas that I want to try, but I just can't find the time to actually do anything (not to mention write about it!).

But it's Tuesday, and I made it, and here's another Etsy shop you really can't miss.

EdithandElizabeth is a beautiful shop selling all kinds of stickers and wall decals. This wall decal, of Peter Pan's shadow, was one of my first pins, a long long time ago, when I was in my first days on Pinterest. And as a huge fan of Peter Pan I don't want this wall decal in the kids' bedroom, but in mine...

Talking about Peter Pan, how about a Tinker Bell sticker for your laptop?

And here are 2 mugs for those of you who, like me, were kids in 80'. Something to remember those days by... One is a Mr. T mug. Remeber how they used to drug him before going on a plane, because he had a fear of flying?...

And another mug of the sentimental Lionel Richie.

And if you know a really cool shop (or if you own one!), let me know!

A Shop a Week

I love this new weekly series! Anyhow I used to waste my time window shopping in virtual shops. Now I actually have an excuse for that! But it's so hard choosing only one each week. They're all so beautiful and welcoming, and I want to buy all their items, but meanwhile I can just keep on dreaming.

But! At least I can share with you all these goodies. So today we'll meet Buligaia. The owner, Adiya, a fellow Israeli, named the store over her two adorable kids. She creates beautiful fabric and felt items. You can find there cute owls, decorative embroidery hoops, Christmas ornaments, dolls and other amazing creations that are really hard to resist.

Take a look -

A Shop a Week

A Shop a Week - ZanaProducts

It's the second week and the search for online shops just becomes more and more fun. I recieved a lot of links for amazing shops, I promise I'll get to all of them at some point. I remind you to email me (or just comment) links to great shops you know (feel free to send a link to your own shop!).

Meanwhile, let's move on to today's shop. It's also an Etsy shop, ZanaProducts, a shop by a mother and daughter from South Africa, that offers fabric items, mostly pillows, but some tote bags and fabrics as well. All the products are beautiful and have a neat look. I really like the pillows for him and her. I think they can make a lovely anniversary gift. Want to see?

I've been sitting here for an hour or so, trying to decide which one I like best. Can't make up my mind... Which one is your favorite?

A Shop a Week

Since I began listing items in my Etsy shop, I find myself drawn to other shops and I'm constantly virtually window shopping through vintage items, pretty fabrics, products for kids and all the other special items that only a website like Etsy can offer.
Then I thought, why do I keep to myself all these beautiful shops? Why should only my Online Shopping folder be so full? And I'm not talking only about Etsy. There are so many gorgeous little shops around the world and with the current globalization situation, it only becomes easier and cheaper to order from them.
So I decided to share them with you - every week I'll feature here another shop and some of the items it has on stock. If you have any favorite shops, please link them in a comment or email me (feel free to link your own shop!).

And to the first shop...
I'm not going to be objective about this one, as I decided to open this series with no other than my mom's new shop, Srooga. In the last year my mom finally realized how talented she is and started crocheting, mostly using t-shirt yarn, bags, baskets and rugs. If you have any questions or if you want to custom order, you can contact her directly.
