Now It's Your Turn. Features from the Pinterest Group Board

I know it's Thursday already, but I was at a (FAB!) concert last night and was too exhausted to write something when I came home. So, a bit late, but still...

Now it's your turn!

Remember? You pin your pictures to the Pinterest Group Board, get views from hundreds of followers and maybe even get to be featured here next week.

How to pin your photos to the group board?

1. Follow me on Pinterest
2. Leave a comment, here or on any of my Pinterest pins, with your Pinterest user name.
3. I'll follow you back
4. I'll send you an invite
5. Accept the invite
6. Start pinning!

Begginers, here's a detailed explanation:
- You have to follow me on Pinterest (and I have to follow you), because these are Pinterest's rules for group boards. If the board admin wants to invite people to the pin to the board, they have to follow each other. You can only follow one of my boards, btw.
- You don't have to be bloggers. As long as your pictures are somewhere around the WWW, you're good. Flickr, Picasaweb, Instagram etc. are all fine.
- Your pin doesn't have to be a tutorial. As long as it can be an inspiration to someone, that's fine.
- If you have a non-English blog, that's OK. These days, with Google Translate, we can just translate the page to another language.

All right then, shall we see today's features?

Dandush from the Israeli blog Tamnoonit brings us a great basic pastry recipe. I know it's in Hebrew, but just use Google Translate to translate the page. You won't regret it. I'm already fantasizing about the cinnamon pastry I'm going to make...

We already visited Craft Cravings in the past and it looks like this won't be the last time either. Look at this cool hat! Right after I'm done with the baking, I'm going to crochet one for The Baby.

Mobile Apps for Bloggers Part II

So after we reviewed the best known apps, it's time to move on to the less-known, yet still useful apps. All available for iOS and Android, unless stated otherwise.

Mobile Apps for Bloggers Part II

1. Google Analytics - How did I forget about this one last time?... I use it all the time! All of your blog's statistics available anytime anywhere.

2. Klout - Klout is a website that ranks your social media influence. Why would you need it? Well, that's a good question... If you want to make some money out of your blog, you'll soon find out that many brands will check your Klout score before deciding if they want to work with you. Currently only available on iOS. Let's hope Android users will have their own version soon.

3. Sverve - This is also a website that ranks you by your influence. Here you choose 5 areas of influence, add tips and articles from all over the WWW and get your score. Some brands offer campaigns for bloggers on the website, so you can try making some money out of it as well. Also available for iOS only...

4. BlogGo - Dana, a reader of The Crafeteria, commented on the Apps for Bloggers Part I with a link to an app that she created for Blogger users. I already told you about my disappointment with the official Blogger app, so I was really happy to hear about this app. Unfortunately, this app, too, is currently only available for iOS. I really hope Dana is working on an Android version! Btw, Stephanie Stoll also commented on the last post, saying she prefers to just use her Safari for that. Hmmmm... How come I didn't think of that?... :)

5. Photoshop - A light (and free!) version for the famous photo editor. You can fix your photos and then share them. Adobe also have other (paid) versions.

6. Evernote - I admit, I didn't understand what all the buzz was about. I mean, come on, an app to save your notes and sets reminders? We've seen hundreds of those! But when you're wrong, you're wrong. I gave it a try and fell for it. It's a very useful and fun app.

7. Photobucket - The known image hosting site in the mobile version. You can upload images from your mobile and they will be available for you on you desktop as well. Simple and convenient.

8. Paypal - So you worked hard and you're making some money now? Now is the time to download the Paypal mobile app and manage your account no matter where you are (as long as your internet connection is working, that is :) )

9. Are My Sites Up - This app is more suitable for those who own more than one website. The idea is simple – YOU should be the first one to know in case your site is down. It's a paid app (different plans available), but important to those who need their sites up and running all the time.

And I began my search for guest posts and blogs to feature

Next week I'm hoping to upload at least a few items to my Etsy shop, but I won't neglect you :) I'm working on a second part to the Best Mobile Apps for Bloggers post and I'm hoping to show you the tutu skirt that will make any 5 year old girl the happiest girl on the planet. And let's not forget about the features from our Pinterest Group Board (if you haven't already, start pinning with us!).

Still Here, Looking for You...

I know you probably got used to a post a day, but now, when the challenge is over, I allow myself to rest once in a while (until the next challenge that is...)

In the last couple of days I finally had some time to go back and read blogs that I love and also visit your blogs (if you left a comment with a link to it). I almost forgot how much you can get inspired by checking out other blogs. And that's when I had this idea, but I need your help for that...

I want to have a weekly post, here on The Crafeteria, in which YOU will be in the spotlight. It can either be a guest post, on topics like craft, DIY, kids activities, blogging or basically anything you think can be interesting for my readers, or it can be a feature post, where I feature you and your blog - a few sentences about you plus links to your best posts.

Interested? Please email me or leave a comment here, I always reply.

Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 31!!!

I'm taking a look at the blog archive, here on my right sidebar and I'm amazed. 30 posts in July. 31 including this one. I did it {breathing a sigh of relief}. I am officially out of my mind. I sat (almost) every night until 2 am to write posts (and take care of the kids and work, but that's the usual), which means everything's possible.

What a crazy month! But also so satisfying.

I broke my pageviews record, I have more than 500 likes on my Facebook page (I knowit doesn't seem that much to many of you, but for me it was a big deal), I "met" lots of other bloggers (and their great blogs) and I even got my first bloggy award (thanks again Madisson :) )

But honestly, without even a pinch of sarcasm, the best thing about this month was to know that it is possible. I don't have to stare blankly at the TV every evening! If I clearly define my aim, I can focus on it and achieve it.

So I'm focusing again, only this time the aim is different.

New goal: Start selling on my Etsy stop that I opened a long time ago (and never listed anything on it...). So let's meet here again on August 30th, same time, so see if I achieved it as well :)
