Meanwhile I managed to finally finish a project that stood half finished for a long long time. My grandma's garage is a garage of surprises. Everytime I go there, I leave with something super nice. So on one of my visits, I found this miserable table, that has seen better days long long ago.
I bet you can see the potential, though. So I sanded (for hours!) and sealed and filled holes and cracks and painted it, and then decided I didn't like the color, so I sanded again and painted again, and bought a new handle for the drawer (that used to have this strange hook instead of a proper handle) and applied varnish and glued a red polka dot fabric in the drawer, and then finally the big moment has come - I placed the sewing machine on the table, and I'm proud to officially say that I have a sewing table!!! Very nice. :) New follower from Sugar Bee Crafts. Would love to have you link this up to my {wow me} wednesday link up party going on over on my blog right now. The most viewed link will win a set of fancy rectangle chalkboard labels. This week I’m co-hosting with Reasons to Skip the Housework…so links will show up on both blogs! How fun!

Very nice - I really like the color you chose.
ReplyDeleteThanks girls!
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your little table! I have a nightstand that is destined to become a little kitchen for my 2 year old. I think I have a lot of sanding in my future too!
ReplyDeleteI am following your blog and look forward to all the cute things I will see. Stop by cookieandclaire.blogspot.com if you have time!
This is adorable! I love that cheerful green and the black diamond pull, they go so well together. Do you use an electric sander? I'll tell ya, the little bit of money to put out for a sander is well worth the hours saved. Thanks for linking up with my Show and Share party!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca, love your blog! I'm a follower now :) I'm also in the (long) process of making a kitchen for my kids, I'll post about it when I'm done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine. No electric sander yet. I do have to get one though!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little table! I would love to feature this on Reduce, Reuse, Upcycle. Feel free to stop by and grab a featured button. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's awsome!
